Mother Teresa: A Care Ministry Hero

Why did it take me so long to read a Mother Teresa's biography?
This simple woman reminded the biographer of his grandmother. She had a lot of wrinkles, could be both stern and loving with her thin lips pursed. A penetrating stare, extremely warm and affectionate, and a smile to melt every heart and cause the recipient to feel love to cause them to
believe their life mattered.
She mastered the truth that little things matter!
- "Not all of us can do great things. But all of us can do
small things with great love." - "If you can't feed a hundred people, feed one."
- "Kind words are short and easy to speak.
But their echos are truly endless." - "Never worry about numbers.
Help one person at a time and start with the person nearest you." - "We shall never know that good that a simple smile can do."
- "I alone cannot change the world,
but I can cast a stone and create many ripples."
This
"grandmotherly" woman simply cared in simple ways. She demonstrated that a care ministry does not require sophisticated people with complicated strategies. Even the resources to fund her efforts followed the profound impact of her simple care.
One of the challenges and encouragements we can recieve from her life and ministry is for us to keep it simple!!
If we implement this...
- We are more effective in our care,
- More content with a measurement that does not include numbers
- And we will discover that all people can be involved in care, one of the most important acts of faith!
I hope this post helps you care better than ever before!
